Angela Nicholls has landed in prestigious company, after being named a finalist in the Sydney Design Awards recently.  Mrs Nicholls earned the nomination for the ShavEzy, a foot stool designed to help women shave their legs.  “All I wanted to do was shave my legs in the shower, which is a difficult task at any time, let alone when pregnant,” she said.  “I felt there had to be something better and safer so set about designing a solution.”  Mrs Nicholls said it was hard to believe that her desire to find a solution to her problem had ended up in an award nomination.

The Sydney Design Awards celebrate those producing excellent design works and promote and encourage conversation about all aspects of design.  “I have always enjoyed and appreciated good design and been quite creative, but have never gained any formal qualification in design, pursuing a career in IT,” Mrs Nicholls said.
